GARDEN OF THE GODS
COLORADO
SPRINGS, CO
Clear skies, cold, and windy. Yet, the park was
packed with people. This is a spectacular place to see these unique
rock formations as well as Pike's Peak and the surrounding mountains in
the background.

Dedication
plaque from Charles Elliott Perkins. This huge steel plaque is about 20
feet tall and is embedded in a sheer rock wall in the park. The bottom
of the plaque is about 15 off the ground. Notice how it says that the
park will "be kept forever free to the public." Very cool.
